Introduction
Saturday morning, following its popularity last year Denise Blais again called a Challenging Dances Workshop Saturday morning.
Apart from Denise's Workshop, all dances were called by Jamie Hargrove.
Of note, Denise choreographed all dances she called, and Jamie choreographed December Dream, Lilburn's Trot, & Vision, all three called at the Ball.
Live music at Jamie's events featured Gregannian Chance.
Jamie's Dance Program here.
A most enjoyable weekend, including the return of the Sunday morning Breakfast & Farewell Dance, but registration did not meet our expectation. In fact fewer dancers registered than last year for all events.
Apart from the fact that a number of club members were unable to attend, we missed our many friends from the USA and local Contra dancers. In both cases it appears that may have been due to a quirk of the calendar. TTO overlapped or was very close to other major dance events.
For this reason, and considering that Ottawa weather can be, as they say, changeable, we have decided to move TTO to the spring. We could say, back to the spring. TTO was inspired by "May We Dance" back in 2009.
Spring 2026 is a little close to allow time to plan such a major event and for this reason there will be no TTO in 2026.
