Draper's Maggot

Al 1-4 1st and 2nd couples circle four-hands once around.
5-8 lst couple cast down to middle place while 2nd couple lead up.
A2 1-8 1st and 3rd couple right-and-left, beginning with partners.
Bl 1-4 1st man turn 3rd woman two-hands while 1st woman the same with 2nd man.
   5-8 Partners turn two-hands.
B2 1-4 1st man turn 2nd woman two-hands while 1st woman the same with 3rd man.
   5-8 Partners turn two-hands.

The series of 4 two-handed turns for the active couple can be dizzy-making. We found that replacement of the partner 2H turns in B1 and B2 with back-to-backs worked quite well. — nashjc 2016/09/29 11:53

THE DRAPERS
The Drapers, cloth merchants in London, were chartered in 1364. The gardens behind their hall in Throgmorton Street commanded a fine view of Highgate and in 1700 were commended by “the London Spy” as a fashionable promenade.
Drapers Hall was used for social events as well as official business. A prelenten masquerade ball held there February 4, 1695/6 is reported in The London Stage
